Most of our Senior Portraits are done when graduating from high school. Heather didn’t have good high school portraits and figured when graduating with a Master’s Degree from Texas State was a great opportunity to document this phase of her life. We spent the first part with Heather and her awesome blue eyed dog Remi at Rio Vista Park throwing the soggy ball around and diving in the water.
Remi and Heather compete from time to time in agility courses and the quickness of his movements was a fun challenge. After a while of ball fetching we sauntered over the river to see Remi leap into the cool waters of the San Marcos River.
From there we changed gears to get Heather in her Cap, Gown and Steve Madden heels with a few of Texas States iconic buildings as a backdrop. (see top image) The wind and light were really playing havoc with our chosen lighting gear. Good thing Andrew was there to anchor things down.
Once we got the required photographs for Heather’s Mom taken care we decided to sauce it up a bit around the square in downtown San Marcos. We traded our windblown softbox for a harder edged aluminium beauty dish. Heather tells us this is her first time in front of a camera, but we still don’t believe her. And check out those trap muscles!
