Above the Riverwalk
This is part two of Kevin & Alyssa’s Engagement photos. Part One had us diving in the Comal River in an attempt to capture some cool underwater scenes. Today we ventured to another nearby river, albeit slightly more urban, the San Antonio River (walk). We set our GPS to “meander” and just followed the light and ambiance of the Riverwalk capturing photographs along the way. And a big thanks to my San Antonio assistant, Lauren, for packing gear up and down a few flights of stairs.

In Love
Traveling light for this shoot was quite fun. We had a 5d2 with a 24-105 on the body with a 50 1.8 in my cargo short pocket. (the official shorts of photographers everywhere). Lauren was running an Einstein with Beauty Dish handheld. Voice activated lightstands are a blast to have around, highly recommended. We chose the Canon 5d2 because I knew that towards the end of the shooting, the light would be super low and that body has such good iso performance.

50 prime and twinkling lights
I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking here in just a second, but I want to say that this couple has a warm place in my heart and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding come March 2011.

Trying to be hipsters

The actual engagement spot!
