Rachel & Gus
Rachel, from Rouse HS, approached us to do a senior portrait session with her horse Gus in a co-starring role. We talked about what we wanted to do, and Rachel gave me a broad outline but left the details to me. My favorite type of client! Now I rub my hands mischievously because we are going to take the average senior portrait/horse portrait and take it to the next level! I knew that we had a few great things working for us. Rachel is a beautiful young woman. Gus is a super cool looking grullo horse (with tiger stripes!). Bluebonnets are blooming at the Conner Combined Training Center. The only missing ingredient was the weather which luckily held out long enough for us to incorporate dramatic skies before the light went flat and the rain came down.

Senior, Horse, Bluebonnets
We aimed for a blend of photographs so that the client would have a diverse portfolio to choose from. We went soft and open, to hard and contrasty. From serious and posed to playfully spontaneous we kept the looks varied.

Dramatic Portrait for Conner Combined Training
We all had a ton of fun and I think we came away with some engaging photographs.

Kisses!
Thanks to Rachel for being up for anything, you did great!
